I sense the 'Canes haters silently rooting for West Virginia
I'm probably one of the few rooting for Miami to hang on.

Regardless, this is obviously not a title year for the 'Canes, likely awaiting an ambush in Tallahassee next Saturday.

Brock Berlin is the most blood boiling mediocrity in recent 'Canes history. And now Frank Gore is hurt, likely out for the season.

Turnover. Predictable fumble by Jarret Payton. Here we go...

2. As a Buckeye fan, Winslow needs to grow up
He's obviously a very good player, but if I want to see people act like arrogant pricks, I'll turn on Fox.

3. Holy shiznit!
My Bicks might move up another spot. And if we go undefeated, we wouldn't have to play Miami! Yey! No rematch!

NOTE: My 'Dream' matchup is Ohio State vs. Oklahoma.

4. I'm a Gator fan
I want to see the Canes get knocked off. They barely beat a UF team that, quite frankly, is horrible this year. If they lose this game at home to West Virginia, it would be quite an embarrassment.

That being said, all Miami needs is a FG, and they have a potent offense. Definitely not over yet.

5. Oklahoma is much better than Miami
Ohio St matches up even better with Miami this year than last. Brock Berlin would throw 5 INTs vs the Buckeyes.

Miami likely will be looking at a second tier bowl, probably 2 or 3 losses

7. Well, here's my reason for an Oklahoma matchup
If, and its a big if, Ohio State goes undefeated I want to play the best team in the nation. I think that team is Oklahoma.

Smashmouth football. I love the Big Ten because the top teams (OSU, Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State) play in your face MURDER defense.

And Oklahoma fits the bold. I think it would be great to see an oldschool title game.

28. Well, OU is somewhat overrated
I agree the Sooners are beatable, as evidenced by the A&M and Okla St game last year. In fact, the Cowboys have shocked them two years running. Alabama gave them a battle a few weeks ago.

But I still think this year's OU team is better than the current Miami edition, especially on the defensive front.

Remember, I posted #5 while in shock, with West Virginia in the lead.

30. OU's overrated because they lost 2 games last year?
:wtf: is that!?

Last year has nothing to do with this season.

Barely beating Alabama is much different than barely beating WV.

The OU secondary is virtually identical to the one blitzed by Okla St and A&M (frosh QB) last season. One year older does not make them invulnerable.

Yeah, and Alabama is a resurging juggernaut, competitive at home vs Northern Illinois and nearly managing to hold onto a 3-TD lead vs. Arkansas.

32. If you have caught
any of OU's games thus far, they are not biting on play action like they did last year. The Stoops staff is a little smarter than that. Everage was way too aggressive last year and got burned bad.

Your 2nd point is well taken, that was a dumb argument on my part.

14. If the Miami player intercepted the ball and the clock ran out...
...and then he threw the ball in the air, wouldn't that give a WV player the opportunity to recover the ball, because the play wasn't called dead, so that would be a fumble???

The whistle never blew. WV could've recovered a legitimate fumble.

College football is different from pro. In college contact does not matter, if your knee touches the ground the play is over.

Miami did not deserve to win that game.

They need to get the chip off their shoulder.

Winslow would sit out a few plays if he mouthed like that on my team. I will never understand why coaches condone that crap. Makes me sick. Just make plays, that's your damn JOB!

29. Google Bobby Bowden, far more incidents than Barry Switzer
I saw a sportswriter list them in comparison this spring. It was incredible how many felonious episodes Bobby Bowden has been able to sidestep, with very little damage to his reputation.

Bowden's list was several times as long as Switzer's, including a defensive tackle firing shots into an off-campus home several years ago.

27. I reluctantly give Brock Berlin credit for two comebacks
Albeit, both at home vs foes we should have vanquished without much trouble. Scoring one TD at home vs West Virginia is obscene. How much can Miami put up against FSU in Tallahassee next week? No running game at all if Frank Gore is out for the season.

With Brock Berlin every single play is a potential turnover, considering his remarkable staredown tactics and no worries about soft lobs into triple coverage.

Five TD passes and 7 INTs with that WR talent, and including games against La Tech, West Virginia and East Carolina?

And if Brock Berlin is a Louisiana high school legend, what does that say about the quality of recent high school play on the bayou?

I realize the absurdity on the surface, whining while still undefeated and after such a 3+ year run. But this guy drags down the entire program.

Admittedly, there are tons of injuries, plus the defense is overrated with the DL young and undersized on the outside. These are now Larry Coker's players, for the most part, not Butch Davis' and the jury is out on how they will compare. I don't see any first rounders among the young linemen.

At least Miami found a good clutch freshman kicker. That was one of the prime concerns of the offseason.
