2. Best explanation...
there wouldn't have been a Joan Rivers without Carson. She owed him.

6. Is that true about Leno?
have always been curious what their relationship was like after Leno took over.
Letterman always spoke of him so fondly and I recall Leno thanking Carson on his first shows then he never spoke about him again.

9. Carson LOATHED Leno
Carsons choice to replace him was David Letterman.
The network screwed Carson and Letterman over when they chose
Jay Leno. Since 92 Johnny & Letterman have stayed close.
Carson felt completely dicked by Leno & Leno's ball busting bitch manager.

It was NOT a happy transfer of power

11. Thanks for clearing that up
from what I read, I didn't like the way Leno got the job and have always regarded him as a "pretender to throne" - much like Bush.

Carson was class though.
Thanks

8. She was missing on the E channel but did her gig on the TV guide channel
with Melissa instead. I never liked her on the carpet much, but damn ... she was still better than Star Jones was!

7. I saw on Best Week Ever that she didn't recognize Will Ferrel
was that a joke? Or did she really not know who he was?
