Anybody else see Gary Hart last night on TDSWJS?
He was awesome! He did this big long riff about Bush and all the problems we've had since he took office--the amount we've spent on the war, the fact that he lied to the American people about Iraq, the huge and growing national debt, 3 million jobs lost, etc. He ended by saying, "The man needs to be thrown out." The audience went WILD! It was a great interview.

Anybody else catch this?

5. It was really nice...
to see him hitting so hard and to hear the audience backing him up.

However, I think he could have been a little more forceful when John asked if any of the candidates running for the dem nom could beat Bush.

7. Agree, but...
maybe he truly doesn't feel that any of the candidates have the ability to beat Bush. He DID intimate about Hillary, though. :)

9. Envy
He was good, but he was tepid about the other candidates because in the end he's got the vanity of all politicians and thinks he should be the man. Hard for them to give voice to what they alredy know in their heads, and that is that their time has passed. I hope Gary's enjoyed a lot of showers with memories of the Monkey Business cuz it probably cost him an extended stay on Pennsylvaia Ave

4. Thanks ...
I've seen TDSWJS tossed around a couple times, but never thought much of it.

I believe every person in that audience would've voted for him as prez last night, myself included!

it was nice to hear Hart/Rudman mentioned on tv, finally, too! :toast:

who's next for Jon? Greg Palast? Bev Harris? Helen Thomas? Skinner?

14. It really was!
To hear him say all the things we've been ranting about on here and then to hear the audience's reaction--it was very gratifying. Sometimes I think America is completely clueless--but moments like that give me hope.
