1. "Would you like to ride in my beautiful ballon?"
Only if I can throw you from it, you evil purveyors of Muzak Soul!

6. Actually, I do like a few of their songs. However...
...it irritates me when I hear the 5th Dimension called a "soul band." Being an African-American who made records in the late '60s and early '70s does NOT automatically make one a soul singer!

8. Agreed. What do you think of the "Magic Garden" LP
Some of their Jimmy Webb stuff was intriguing for its time.

3. Whitest band EVER.
"Wedding Bell Blues" is in my Top 10 worst songs of all time.

4. I'm with you on that tune
The 60's took many different paths for soul, one the Berry Gordy-inspired "let's reach the white audience" path.

5. Listen Carefully to "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In"
Midway through the song it's like they suddenly turned, looked at each other, and realized they weren't The King Family Singers.

Then the song gets interesting.

9. Let the Sunshine.....
Don't have any of their albums, but I do have the British Edition of Hair and put it on once in a while and sing along while cleaning the house...
