3. Yeah..."Super Size Me" will win Best Documentary.
A lot of people have seen it, it made some decent money at the box office...AND influenced McDonald's to drop its "Super Size" option. It's an excellent movie and will be a popular choice.

5. He might actually win this time
a lot of his problem was "too much New York" which gets under the SoCal-centric Academy's skin. But, this time he made a movie that takes place mostly in SoCal, in the film industry to boot. Plus, snubbing him is making them look like hicks and they know it. This might finally be his year.

6. The only real competition Scorcese will have is Eastwood.
And he's already won a Best Director Oscar. Scorcese hasn't.

I think there will be a great deal of sentiment for Scorcese this time. He'll win.
