Father Arrested For Using Stun Gun On Son

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A Martin County man has been arrested for allegedly using a stun gun on his 14-year-old son.

Douglas Dycus was charged with one count of child abuse and one count of domestic violence.

The Department of Children and Family Services met with detectives after they got a call on their ABUSE hot line. They interviewed the teen who told them his father used a stun gun on him as punishment.

The boy had two wounds that were consistent with stun gun marks.

The boy's mother hasn't been charged.

As the sane one, she had a responsibility to get us out of that situation. Even when he admitted trying to shoot my brother, she stays.
