1. I have a dumb question
Did "The Eyes of Texas" come first, or the song "I've been working on the railroad"? Every team I hear the first during a football game it makes me think of the second.

2. I looked it up just now.
"The Eyes of Texas" was written in 1903, and based on the tune of "I've Been Working On The Railroad."

So, "I've Been Working On The Railroad" came first.

And the rooster came before the hen... Typical.
