1. love the new Cylons
the old ones were to comic and clumsy to be scary. The new ones (the robotic soldiers) ARE scary looking!

2. The "witch hunt" episode is the weakest so far
I was a little disappointed. It reminded me to much of a Star Trek TNG episode.

3. Having no cable, I haven't seen any of this season's episodes
But I very much look forward to its release on DVD, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

I watched the miniseries FOUR times. The ending battle between the Galactica and the Cylon base stars is the coolest space fight EVER depicted. In fact, everything about this remake works: the effects, the actors, the design (much of which has been retained from the original show), the story, the writing--it all comes together into something greater than the sum of its already formidable parts.

By the way, I was also a huge fan of the original show. In fact, I missed the Super Bowl this year because I was watching the original Galactica pilot and the Kobol episodes. Gimme more Galactica!!

4. Great show!....................
I love all the personal interplay between the characters, and that all their flaws are exposed. For example, the President using Apollo as leverage against Adama, the palpable tension between Starbuck and drunken Tige makes for great TV. I really like Baltar being persecuted by the blonde Cylon while he's interacting with other characters - it adds a cool manic feel to the show.

I just hope they don't introduce some kinda cheesy romance between Apollo and Starbuck.

5. She seems to be a bit too strong and pervasive to just be a delusion...
I think #6 put some kind of chip in his head to relay images to him. I think this will become clear as the story progresses.

And she is one royal bee-yotch.

7. Or is Baltar a Cylon?
Counting the 2 types of Cylon ships, mechanical ones, and 3 known human ones, we have a guarenteed list of 6 models out of known 12. We still have 6 unaccounted for.

The reason I think this is in the miniseries, there is a disconinuity between after Baltar's house gets nuked and he is seen in the crowd desperate to get off. Maybe he is programmed like Sharon to think he is human.

Otherwise, whatever happened to him happened during the sex scene with #6 early in the miniseries.

We are now 5 episodes into the 13 of season one. Season 2 has been approved by SciFi and shooting will start soon. This season has been quite good so far.

6. The old Cylons in the '70's were silly and cool at the same time.
Their chrome get-ups were neat looking in violet strobe lights, and their synthesized voices were super-cool! I used to stand in front of a cooling fan, saying "B-y-y-y-y-y-y y-o-u-r-r-r-r-r-r c-o-m-m-a-n-n-n-n-n-d!"

Okay, I'm a geek; I admit it.

8. At least this one does not have that damn kid and his robot dog.
One of my beefs with the original series.

10. I like it, but the teaser for the next episode sorta sucked
Apparently Adama also sees the blond cylon that is in Baltar's head.

Very weird.

unless we have seen the episode.

12. Another copy of 6 in the fleet, obviously
I'm sure the copies will pop up here and there like the suicide bomber in the most recent episode.

13. It's Good... EXCEPT For The God Damned "Shakey-Cam" Effect!!
Damn, that gets OLD fast! What an annoying effect for them to over-use. I get it, the "hand held video camera" effect with the amateur cameraman not being able to hold the camera steady... the extra fast zoom-in and zoom-out.

It's really distracts from everything that's GOOD about the series.

Sigh.

15. Agreed.
A little subtle shake is okay. They make it a bit too obvious.

14. Loved last night's episode.
The political intrigue... We're getting set up for a potential B5 series here.

Two thumbs up!
