1. I have it running...
but I really don't know if it's any good or not.

It hasn't picked up any baddies, but that may simply because I haven't downloaded any baddies.

What does worry me is that sometimes I install a new program and it doesn't notice. Other times it does. Makes me wonder if it notices stuff I didn't intend to install.

3. Note that it does other stuff, too...

like identifying active tasks, startup info, tries to work out fake urls....

Most of this stuff can be done other ways, though, but it is kinda convenient

4. I have put it on several machines.
It is a great tool for getting rid of registry start-up entries that would otherwise be a huge pain in the ass.

I had problems with it last week for the first time, but it was with a machine that hadn't had Norton anti-virus since 2001.

After installing Norton, it deleted 5100 potentially threatening files from the hard drive.

Needless to say, I can't hold Winpatrol responsible for having issues on that particular machine.

It's been great every other time I've used it.

A few spyware programs can't be removed with it, but most can.
