BTW, someone mentioned a couple of border collie fans posted on my thread I started yesterday for the Westminister Dog Show. Turns out the Border was best in breed for the herding dog class

1. There were so many fine dogs!
I'm usually not into the hunting breeds as a whole (I'm a Scottie owner), but I have to admit I think the judge made the right choice last night. Carlee was just breathtaking, an outstanding example of the best in dog breeding. What a classic and classy dog.

I had three favorites going into BoB: the Bloodhound, who really was marvelous and had a great head; Coco the Norfolk terrier -- what an absolute love; and Carlee, who just grabbed the stage and wouldn't let go. Had any one of those dogs won I wouldn't have been surprised, but when Carlee assumed her "free stack" pose in the final look I had to say that for me that was the clincher.
