Well the real losers AREN'T the millionaire team owners, or the over paid people being paid to play a sport they love, it's not even the fans who love to watch and root for their favorite team. It's all the 'little' people who depended on the games to make a living. The vendor's, concessionaires, ticket takers, Zamboni drivers and the like that are all financially hurt, and hurt bad in many cases.

Those crybaby owners and players should be ashamed.

I do feel sorry for all of the people on the fringes.

I spent hard earned money driving from Kansas City to places like Dallas, Nashville and Denver to see my beloved Avalanche.

No one understands.

I grew up with hockey.

It's in my blood.

I was a New York Ranger fan for years.
I watched it with my Dad in the '60's on a 13" inch black and white for years until the Colorado Avalanche stole my heart.

I am sad today.

No Hockey.

No one will skate the cup.

That's never happened in my lifetime.

The MONKEY hasn't depressed me enough.

Now there is no hockey.

I can't win.

4. A buddy here in Denver that owns a sports bar is down 200k per month

that the Avalanche hasn't played. It could take him down and out, consequently, before the Rockies' season starts.

5. Another good example of

a 'little guy' being hurt from the strike, although if he owns a bar that is down $200,000 in a month because of the strike he probably is quite wealthy. But still there must be bar tenders and bar maids missing out on hours and tips.

The rent in lower downtown Denver (LoDo) is pretty steep. He's had to reduce the size of his staff, however, and so more little guys are getting slammed.
