1. Do you know what the difference is between in-laws and outlaws?
Outlaws are wanted.

3. Well, they are hard-core, born-again,
Bush supporters who constantly remind me about how I'm going to hell.

On the plus side, I can verbally abuse them at will in the guise of "joking around".

Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 09:27 PM by lady lib
she supported Kerry and went to a protest against Bush (go ma!).
She lives in NM and hates Bush's environmental policies.

6. They did a good job raising my husband, who is the greatest.
So I just ignore all that stuff I don't agree with/don't get/hate about them.

7. Sadly, neither my husband nor I got to meet each other's parents
My mother-in-law died in Pakistan in 1963 and my father-in-law in Pakistan last October. My parents died in 1983 and 1987. At least we have no in-law difficulties whatsoever!

8. Like them? I love them!
As a gay male couple, we've been together 12 years now. Not only do we get along with each others families, but his mother and my parents are now very close friends. His father, sadly, died in a factory explosion when my partner was a child. His sister and I are very close, too. Yeah - we get along great for a non traditional family, which is why I get so pissed off about orginizations like Family First or whatever. All of my cousins and such are total wack jobs who have divorced multiple times, have fucked up kids with police records, they all hate each other and all claim to be more christian than Jesus himself. And they think we're all sick and going to hell. Well, at least we're having a better life than them while we ARE alive.

10. Ditto
I could have almost exactly written your post except:

-we've been togehter 2 years
-my partner's father died of cancer when he was young, not a factory explosion
-I get along with my partner's brothers, not sister

Other than that, our parents get along great and my cousins are whack jobs with multiple divoces too.

Cheers.
