In order to be a mod, do you need to have never had a post deleted?

In other words, do you need to have a spotless record?

When application time comes up again, I'm thinking about it.

But I have had the odd post or two deleted (lost my temper a bit once or twice).

I've at least learned to be very careful with what I say. AND when I really want to say something I know I shouldn't, I do tend to get up and get away from the computer for a bit. That's never failed me.

Those deleted posts came as such a shock--when the first one happened, I was terrified I was tombstoned!!!

Apply the next moderator change. One deleted post (or two) isn't going to disqualify you. Actually, since you'll be a new applicant, you'll have a better chance of getting chosen (the admins are always looking for new people)
