Is there a way to delete visited websites from a computer's registry?
I'm not freaking out about privacy, just a bit of OCD, which causes me to want my computer "SPARKLING CLEAN" (I even installed Windows XP because it looks "cleaner" than 2000 - okay, maybe I have a BIT of a problem), and I'd really rather not go through "OMG MUST FORMAT DRIVE" every month. Having visited websites or things in my Recent Documents folder freaks me out.

Or maybe I just have some big problem with OCD. :X

CCleaner is a similar program and it works quickly - as in, less than a second.

It clears...

Internet Explorer Cache, History, Cookies, Index.dat.

Recycle Bin, Temporary files and Log files.

Recently opened URLs and files.

Third-party application temp files and recent file lists (MRUs).
Including: Firefox, Opera, Media Player, eMule, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Netscape, Office XP, Nero, Adobe Acrobat, WinRAR, WinAce, WinZip and more...

Advanced Registry scanner to remove unused and old entries (includes backup). Including File Extensions, ActiveX Controls, ClassIDs, ProgIDs, Uninstallers, Shared DLLs, Fonts, Help Files, Application Paths, Icons, Invalid Shortcuts and more...

It's a great, free program.

I generally run it once a week, defrag once a month (depending on usage).

2. Uh yeah you do.
Sorry if this sounds all blunt, but I think you should get some help if it's wasting your time like this. It'll just get worse and worse. Read some stories of what other people have gone through with OCD and you'll wanna stop it before it gets that bad. I heard of some guy who's spent tons on cleaning products and ruined stuff in his house from cleaning it too much.

5. Well, it's not a huge problem, but it IS very obnoxious.
Obnoxious enough to try and stop it, I suppose. You didn't sound blunt at all; it's actually quite a good idea.
