Pink Floyd - More
I must list this soundtrack as one of my favorite PF albums. It's been a few months since I last heard it, and as I was listenting last night while reading it occurred to me that probably many Floyd fans had never heard of it. If you like early Floyd and you haven't heard it, please check it out.

1. That's an odd album for them.

It sounded as if they were trying to find their style. Not a bad album by any respect, though. "Ibiza Bar" "The Nile Song" and "Green is the Colour" are my favorite songs on that album.

2. Nile Song cracks me up!
Those lyrics are highlarious. :)

My favorites are Cirrus Minor, Crying Song, Main Theme, Dramatic Theme, and Spanish Piece. Oh and Cymbaline.

I love it!

3. I like that album.
Cirrus Minor is trippy and The Nile Song and Ibiza Bar are probably the hardest rocking songs they've done.

6. I love trippy music.
Love it love it love it.

Actually I've just found out about this band called Mogwai... got a CD of theirs on Friday, and it sounds like the guys in that band were influenced by early Floyd. That was my motivation to put The Floyd on while reading last night. :)

4. ha! you read my mind :)
It is my fave Floyd album.

Have you seen the movie? It's not on DVD yet. It was directed by Barbet Schroeder. I watched the VHS several years ago. I liked it... more than The Valley / Obscured by Clouds.

7. it's just about a couple
who goes aimlessly around the Mediterranean (it was filmed before Ibiza got really trendy & populated)... they don't do much but trip & smoke lots of weed & swim in the blue sea & go to groovy euro-hippie parties. :P

Not much of a plot to speak of. Great locations. And of course the music is prevalent throughout the the movie.

It's great entertainment for an evening of lit candles, zoning out & lots of :smoke:

8. We've got it...
Mr. Pcat being slave to Floyd in a big way. I don't mind it, but I am not sure it's their best work, either. It does not, unlike the Primus, make me run screaming from the house.

I think we've got the film on video somewhere, but as the VCR has developed terminal tapeophagy, we don't risk anything in its maw anymore.

10. hehe... count me as another slave to Floyd!
Although I'm not as good a slave as Mr. Pcat... as I don't own the film. Our VCR came down with the same bug. :(

12. Don't know where he got it; he's had it since before we married.
But then again, he can be a bit obsessive. (You don't want to see the Dungeons and Dragons bookcase... the 6 feet by 4 feet of nothing but role playing games.)

He's seriously considering getting me a SCBA if Floyd ever goes on tour again, since I'm allergic to pot smoke, and he wants me to go.

9. Main Theme is one of my favorite Floyd tunes
Even if Waters nicked his own damn bassline from "Let There Be More Light"
