Has anyone seen this PBS Documentary about Richard Proenneke and his Alaskan Adventure? Richard Proenneke lived the dream of building a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness, and stayed to become a part of the country. The program is a simple account of the day-to-day explorations and activities he carried out alone, and the constant chain of nature's events that kept him company.

Excellent view, and One Man's Wilderness: an Alaskan Odyssey an excellent read.
