1. Prilosec
and something like Maalox. I know how you feel my son took me to the er a few years ago it got so bad he thought I was having a heart attack. That's what they gave me and as long as I take it I'm ok. This used to be Rx but it's now otc. Get it checked with the doctor just in case it could be something else.

4. Pepcid AC
The 12 hour kind. Everything gives me heartburn. I take two a day and only have a problem once in a blue moon.

It "turns off" the acid producing in your stomach. Works good.

B-)

6. I had it for years until I had the surgery. My advice:
Prilosec in the a.m. and one generic Pepcid or whatever before bed. For virtually everybody this regimen will heal any esophageal burns in a few weeks. Then wean yourself off the meds and if the problem returns you might want to consider one Prilosec daily. It's expensive but continuous reflux is a nightmare!

May not be enough for a severe case but they give good quick relief.

On edit: Someone told me it's the pectin.

10. If you can handle the truth... and if you have an
open mind... and if you understand basic biology... want to skip the surgeries, don't like medicines, want to actually correct what is wrong with you.... check this.

www.molocure.com

"Or" read about Aloe Vera at www.simplynaturalproducts.com

I myself recommend the molocure.... others will disagree. Read the science and make up your own mind. Chances are you have a digestive disorder and not a "gastric reflux disease" or some such nonsense.

11. DGL
Deglycerhizzinated Licorice Root Extract. Some brands are nasty. I buy the Natural Factors brand, which doesn't taste too bad. 3-5 chewable tablets a day can stave off all need for Tums as they repair your GI lining.
