Listening to Loveless. Awesome, but they could use an all-star guitarist like Jack White.

1. Loveless....
.... is near perfect. About half the tracks are indeed perfect. Any other guitarist would not have been opiated enough to do what Shields did. :)

2. what do you think of Lush and/or Catherine Wheel...?
I prefer them both to MBV, but amazon keeps reccomending MBV whenever i go shopping there.

loveless is really good tho.

5. Never heard ..
... Catherine Wheel, so don't know. I have Gala, and like it but nowhere near as much as Loveless.

Loveless is a signpost, a pinnacle, a standard of the noise pop genre. Few other artists (of that genre) got close to that peak, but there was this one band "Swallow" who put out one brilliant record and then vanished that came close :)

4. Dammit!
Now I have to go look for my My Bloody Valentine cds and listen...been probably a year since I listened to them...

For some reason I've been listening to Th' Faith Healers lately and that was a band that needed no help at guitar!
