We may have had a listen of Liam Gallagher Overdrive already.
In a previous post, I propose the idea that Liam Gallagher start a classic rock band named Liam Gallagher Overdrive if Noel Gallagher were to hang up his songwriting hat.

If you listen to Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Oasis' 2000 album, there may be a glimpse on there of what Liam Gallagher Overdrive would sound like already. There are two hard rock songs named "Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is" and "I Can See a Liar" let you know what it would sound like with Liam Gallagher singing heavier fare.

2. You must be a speed metal or gabber fan.
Hard rock is still enough to wake me up, at least.

10. A techno version of speed metal.
I've heard of it going up to 300 bpm.

5. Liam Gallagher sings Iron Butterfly!
This is an idea whose time has, mercifully, not yet come.

I *AM* looking forward to Liam and Noel playing the Holiday Inn circuit someday. You know, their flavor comes across best in small venues and all that.

6. Terence Trent D'Arby never did that.
And as I've pointed out before, Oasis is at least Terence Trent D'Arby times two as far as star power.

8. Terence Trent D'Arby was more popular than the Beatles in the 80s.

12. Not much of a feat as the Beatles were no longer recording together
And their glory days were long behind them.

14. Yeah, that tends to put a damper on ticket sales
Though if Liam and Noel died, it wouldn't necessarily adversely affect their performances and the show could still go on.

15. Apparently you have not listened to Oasis' breakout song
Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 11:08 PM by HalfManHalfBiscuit
"Live Forever"

Which is more than dead Lennon and their other dead bastard guitarist can attest to.

Quitters.
