I'm watching "Life of Brian" with my leftist 14 year old son.
He is laughing his ass of too. He see's the satire and understands the sarcasm as well as the message that MP was conveying when they made this great flick.

5. He a great kid and smacks down his bu$h-loving,flag waving teachers
at his middle school. One teacher called me one day and complained that my son refered to the president as an idiot and a liar. I told him "So, whats the problem with that? He is!". That didnt settle well and I was scolded for not supporting the troops, anti-american, blah, blah, blah...

2. When my son was 14 he watched Silver Grail with me,
and laughed so hard that I was laughing at him as much as at the movie. Your son sounds like one of the good guys.

6. I teach my boys to keep their eyes and minds open and think for themselves
Beleive in what you want to but always look at both sides before you form an opinion.
I think they'll all turn out to be ok.

12. My favorite Python movie
I've always felt it has such a great message amid all the humor and absurdity.

I love the part during the sermon on the mount - "Blessed are the cheesemakers? What's so special about them?"

14. Sounds like my daughter.
She's 13 and loves Monty Python (and is smart enough to "get it").
