Mom, what possessed you? Did it go something like this? You and Dad were talking and you said, "honey, don't the girls look nice today? Let's go get their picture taken?"

Okay, I'm the oldest. This was a few years ago, but NOT during The Great Depression or the Dust Bowl. We lived in Los Angeles and it was the late 50's. Well, maybe my mom put the bowl over our foreheads to cut the bangs? And maybe I wore that shirt a few times, eh?

This really does always make me laugh. The future Professor comes down to earth. HEY! We were poor as church mice and eventually a family of six kids raised by a teacher (my dad) and a nurse (mom). We all turned out great -- each sibling happy, healthy, and productive. My younger sister turned out beautifully, with long, long blond hair.

This was taken in our honeymoon suite September 2001. We got married by Elvis and it was 11 days after 9/11. We almost had the plane from Burbank to Las Vegas to ourselves.

Strange time, but I think we helped raise a lot of spirits.




Video screen print of us cutting the cake. We saved the top of it and Michael's sister Marcia (who lives in Vegas) froze it for us and we had a 1 year aniversary party at her house.



Video screen print of my mom at the wedding. EVERYONE kept talking about how they got all choked up when my mom and aunt started crying. Mom almost didn't make it the wedding. My step-dad had surgery serval weeks prior, but he all but kicked her butt to go. She suprised me. THEN my father got too sick and he and my step-mom had to go back home. Needless to say I was an emotion mess the whole time we were there.

I can remember getting those done - mine are all utterly unusable and would crack the glass of the scanner. My hair is always just this grotesque black mop :scared: Now it's the only bit that looks reasonable.
