Help, need cartoon!
There was a neat cartoon postd on DU a few days ago, but I lost the link. It showed Dubya in front of a mirror, and trying on papal vestments. Laura's voice from offstage was: "NO, George!". Can someone here help me find it again?

1. Start looking here...
http://www.cagle.com/

Sorry I can't find the particular comic you're speaking of, but,
I'm on dial-up tonight.

:)

2. Thanks.
I haven't found it yet, but it was loads of laughs plowing through the other ones. The one I was looking for was in one of those collection of cartoons found on the DU homepage at regular intervals. I'll keep looking.

5. I found several DU toon links from last week using the DU search.
The tag for the search appears at the top of your browser window.

Click on that then search for "toon" in General Discussion...
Most of the toon threads appear there.

I used to search with the user name of the late toonmeister.

Unfortunately, that search results in many DU memorial posts now.

(I had done so before, but carelessly). I found it at the same place you had indicated. The Cagle URL under "properties" of that image gave me this:

Thanks again.

6. Great!
You're very welcome.

I'm a toon reader myself.

7. Me too.
I use them occasionally when I'm in "adversarial mode" to great effect. On my union BBS, one guy made a posting in praise of those "Border Minutemen". I responded with only the link to this cartoon:

No response to that. No surprise either. The inside joke to that is that one who posted in praise of that topic, was a doofus who goes into a towering rage whenever I say anything "bad" about corporations. When he's not calling me "commie", it's "anarchist antenna-snapper". But he went silent there.

Some cartoons are admittedly "cheap shots", but most are on a pretty high moral/ethical plane. And THOSE are accordingly very effective.
