Who wears glasses? Where did you get the pair you're wearing now?
And what do they say about you?

I've needed glasses since I was 14 or so, but I didn't start wearing them until I was 18 out of sheer desperation because the headaches were so bad. I have one eye that's really weak and one eye that's nearly normal, so without glasses I have almost no depth perception, especially at night. There is no way I would dream about trying to drive without my glasses, and frankly, the headaches are so bad without them that I wear them pretty much all the time.

I bought my current pair of glasses at LensCrafter Optique. They say that I'm too afraid of sticking things in my eyes to wear contacts.

1. I do and have worn glasses since I was a little kid
I got this pair in the early '90s at 4 Your Eyes Only in Wallingford, a neighborhood in Seattle.

They're cat's eye-shaped and a tortoiseshell pattern - brown and green. I like them because they seem to fit my face. :)

3. St. Paul Optical
in Downtown St. Paul. Opted to go with a local business instead of the clinic.. and it ended up being cheaper, too. Bought the contacts I am wearing as well as my frames there.

5. I wear glasses
I think I got them at Shoppers Optical or something...
All they say about me is I have a really round face and I need something square to detract from that.

7. I've Worn Glasses Since October of 1960
I got my current pair at Doctor's Vision Works, but I'll never go back there again because they screwed up the prescription.

11. I wear both glasses and contacts
Though not at the same time. I get 30 pairs of disposable lenses every two months, and thus split roughly half and half.

I get both of these from Dollond and Aitchison Opticians - this is (I fear) a large chain here in Britain - but they make everything so damn easy my lenses come through the post, I pay by direct debit, they write to me whenever I need to have a new sight-test or contact lens check, and both of these are free because I'm buying their lenses.......

My glasses say that I'm short-sighted, my lenses also say that I'm vain.

12. I do. I bought them at the Wal-Mart vision center.
I got 2 frames for the price of one with Transition lenses.

I cannot, for the life of me, wear contacts because I absolutely hate things near my eyes.

I have to wear glasses while driving and TV-watching, but I can't wear them at my computer.

13. I've been wearing classes since 6th or 7th grade
There have been women who have said if I wore contacts instead of glasses, I would be hot.

I'm happy the way I am and if they have a problem with it well that's their problem.

14. I wear them
Got them at Lenscrafters as well, and like you, I'm afraid of putting things in my eye. I also hate the Glycoma test...
