Guys...I'm having a panic attack....
Job interview at 9:30. I have been up since 4:00 in just a complete panic. I am so nervous and I really, really need this job! I don't want to have any coffee because I am already so jittery. I am just shaking so much I can hardly type.

Is there anything I can do other than breathe?

I know they will think I am an idiot and unqualified...I am just so, so scared of this!

1. Just be yourself
You would not be this far along in the process unless you did not have merit and qualifications. It will be what it will be, but go into this knowing you are prepared, and confident. Be the person you would want to hire.

and the very best of luck to you.

2. try to breathe deeply
you are not an idiot - you are amply qualified; just interview and be yourself and I am sure you will be offered the position.

Confidence, Attitude, Personality - you've got 'em now go use them.

Everything wil be OK.

3. Know this
There is nothing they are going to ask you that is going to suddenly show you don't know about the job. They are going to simply be trying to get to know you. Most jobs do not expect you to be a perfect fit from the moment you walk in the door. You are going to adapt to the job over time. And that is what they expect. So go in, be yourself, and let them know you are an ok person.

4. You'll be OK.
While you're breathing, recall what you have to offer to the company you're hoping to join and how (in the most simple and direct terms) you are going to convey what you have to offer. You dohave something to offer, or you wouldn't have gotten as far as an interview. You're neither an idiot, nor unqualified, or you wouldn't be interviewing!

Go get 'em, Sannum!

5. I had an interview on Monday. I was pretty nervous, too.
You'll feel better when you actually meet the person interviewing you.

You're just scared of the unknown. Once you know it, you'll be fine.

6. OK, LISTEN UP!!!!!
You are smart, talented and qualified.

You INTEND to get this job, because ONLY A FOOL would not hire you.

You are confident, capable, and energetic. YOU ARE AN ASSET.

IF they don't choose you, they are idiots. Chin up, shoulders back. Speak clearly, with confidence. Go look in the mirror, tell yourself YOU ARE THE BEST.

We will have no panic attacks around here. You will get the job, and if you don't, something BETTER will come along.

Stay POSITIVE...or else!!!!

10. Nerves are good, keep you on your feet
And give you the edge over the ones not bothering to prepare themselves.

You'll do fine :)
