1. Hard to tell whether he was heavily made up and tear-streaks

wiped out the make-up on parts of his face, or what happened.

Don't know what sort of roughing up would make you look like that, but I'm not sure what all today's torturers are capable of.

There's a big difference in the nose, especially the nostrils, the eyes on the picture on the right seem much larger, the lips seem thicker/wider in the picture on the right. Although I can't really tell because of the hair, the ears seem to stick out more in the picture on the left.

I agree with the DU'ers who have commented that the man in picture on the right looks dead, it has a lifeless quality to it.

probably his skin is so white because he hides out all day
but the brown is probably dirt stained with tears
