Could someone help me feel better?
My husband is at the doctor's office right now for tests. He has been having some chest pains & I insisted he go to the doctor.
I'm stuck at work & cannot be with him. I am so worried.

1. My husband just went through the same thing with me.
Don't sorry, he'll be fine. At least he went to the doctor. I waited 2 weeks before I went, driving my husband insane with worry.

2. If he is having chest pains
they are likely to keep him for some tests: blood enzymes, stress test, EKG, etc.

I had some chest pains earlier this year, and spent the night in the hospital. It turned out to be nothing (except anxiety) but I was glad that the doctors were thorough.

Maybe a cute kitty pic will make you feel better

I'm sure it will be fine.

Please keep us updated.

3. My father was the same a couple of years ago
It got us all worried - now he's bouncing round again as though he was 20 years younger.

You've managed to get him to a doctor - given that he's a man, the hardest part is now over.

6. he's going to be fine, don't worry
One of my relatives concealed the fact that she was having chest pains until she finally collapsed. It's that stiff upper lip thing. However, when she did get help (bypass surgery) she bounced back like you couldn't believe. She has since traveled all over the world, in fact, she's traveling now. Your husband is several steps ahead because he is being pro-active to check out the chest pains. He's a smart man, and it's going to be OK. <HUGS>

7. I hope all goes well. It's better to get to the doctor earlier rather
than later. Glad you insisted he go. It will all work out.O8)

8. It is probably nothing
really. Take some deep breaths and keep us posted. All will be fine. My Hubby had a heart attack 8 years ago at 39 years old and it was a horrible event, but we made it through it. He had been working for a repuke administration and under A LOT of stress. But we had a drastic change of lifestyle. It is probably just stress. If we had done something sooner and no ignored the signs he would not probably would not have had the attack. He is doing the right thing. Hang in!!!

10. Oh, Rainbow ...
(I so wanted to say "honey"... sorry, I'm from Texas :))

I bet he'll be fine. My dad had an all-out heart attack in his 40s and he's still around to drive me nuts at nearly 80... so take heart.

If his habits aren't so healthy, perhaps you can use this as a way to get him to improve them.

12. It's ok, you can call me honey.
My sister is in Texas & she calls everybody honey so I'm use to it.
Thanks for the support everyone!

11. Hang in there
I'm sure he'll be fine - chest pains can be any number of things the majority of which are perfectly ordinary and relatively harmless. I was at work last year when I got a call from my neighbor saying they had taken my husband to the hospital because of "chest/back" pain and know just how you feel. It turned out to be kidney stones (um, I didn't think those were in the chest but whatever ;-)) It's still unnerving.

Sending my best vibes your way. Let us know how he makes out.

Best regards.
