I wanted to read back and see what all the ruckus was about this past weekend, since I was gone all weekend.

Can't get into the friggin' archives. Are we at Defcon 2 or something?

1. Huh-uh. You can only get to the archives by searching.

I asked the admins when ATA was still up; Skinner said that the archives had just gotten too huge and it was too much of a burden on the server.

2. From what I can determine -

"The Princess" made a bunch of people mad, and violated the rules. She was banned. "Sniffa" repeatedly violated the rules - after, we're told, many warnings. He was banned.

Lots of people became very angry because Sniffa was banned and started raising a stink. Other people mentioned somewhere that the lounge was getting difficult to take with it's "cliquishness" and rudeness. That set off a huge round of cliquishness and rudeness.

Skinner got pissed off and washed his hands of us for the weekend. He left up a BIG post (probably somewhere not too far back) and instructed the mods not to touch it - so lots of people voiced their opinions in a manner they normally wouldn't get away with.

As of today, it seems the focus is off Sniffa being banned, and on overall rudeness in general - with some saying the rudeness has overtaken the lounge and others saying those who see rudeness are suffering from mental deficiencies and inferiority complexes.

That's pretty much it, in a nutshell.

but now I wish I would have stayed away another week. :(

I don't have any opinion of the 2 that were banned beyond - the rules apply to everyone, not just everyone else.

I think the one that got sniffa banned is deleted.

I'm able to search the archives. It was a little slow at first but then kicked in. You may want to try again, there are more threads on this if you care to read them. I'm just glad I missed majority of it, myself.
