1. Well, consistent exercise always works for me, but
I hate it. I have one of those bodies that clings to every shred of fat, and lowering calorie intake and exercising is the only thing that works. Weight Watchers works -- I just follow the points system without going to meetings. I have such a hard time making myself go out and exercise, though.

2. I quit drinking pop
which I ADORE. Heck, I got rid of 300 calories a day just doing that! Although I don't seem to be getting skinnier yet. Maybe it's all the pixie stix I use to calm my cravings for pop.

3. Miss one Meal per day,lower portions and Fast Walking
as much as possible. I have been doing it and it works-
more exercise (at least a 20 minute fast walk)less food (portion intake).
If you happen to like a glass of wine with dinner, switch to white wine for awhile, it is only 100 calories per glass.

4. Hi, valis...Right now, I'm not gaining...but I'm not losing either.
And I NEED to lose about 20 more pounds. If you've seen any of my pics here, I don't look really fat. But I'm carrying a fair amount on my belly and legs. I'm apple shaped. No good...

I used to weigh about 30 pounds more. How did I do it? Exercise, and fewer calories. Very strictly, too. I'm still doing this, but the body wants to hold onto some fat as a buffer against illness. So it does get harder as you get nearer your goal.

I've recently started being more rigorous at the gym, for one thing. I'm trying to watch the calories too. But this has been just the last 2-3 weeks, so it's too soon to tell if this will help. It probably will. But it's very slow.

My mantra is: Eat less, and exercise more. Simple. Not easy, though.

I'm drinking more water

Riding my bike (nearly) everyday.

Eating lots more fresh fruits and vegetables.

and I've gained 4 pounds . . .

WTF??!??
