When I was learning the alphabet at about 18 months, I used to say, "...H I J K olive-pimento P!" because olives were good enough to be a letter...

I used to poke the pimento out of a slice of olive and wear the olive like a ring...

Of course, I also used to stick a clove of garlic on a toothpick and eat it like a sucker. I was weird.

My kids and grandkids BEGGED for pineapple when we were in Hawaii. They even eat it when they're home in Oregon.

Oh, my husband just told me his mother made eggplant when he was a kid and he loved it (still does).

They'd eat canned pineapple, but not fresh.

As for eggplant, I hated it as a kid, so when my kids turned their cute little noses up at it, I couldn't argue.

Now, they eat everything.

and I'm not sure I could.
I worked with a chinese guy a few years ago. Once for lunch he brought in squid-but it wasn't cooked. It was pink and rubbery. Looked like a stomach lining. I couldn't watch him eat it.

My mom used to cook liver and onions, and lima beans, but thank god, not at the same meal...They were bad enough at separate meals...I still hate all of those! I'd rather starve, and for me, that's something!

71. My step-Daughter influenced me on raw beef. She ate steaks rarer...
and rarer, until she'd ask for them room temperature. I eat them the same way now. I had to start with twice the amount of meat I wanted for jerky. It would disappear before dried.

92. I lived there for several years. We may have been in the same place...
a few times. I recall one evening my ex and I took two kids each of ours and a few of their friends out to eat. We got started on crawfish and oysters on the halfshell. We made a hell of a mess, but we had a lot of fun! :)
