2. Ever see Bill and Ted's excellent adventure?
Yea... that.

But, really, I'd like to go back to 1969... Woodstock, NY, for pretty obvious reasons.

20. That was Wayne's World
which I hated too. I understand the movies were much better, but I still ducked them. Bill & Ted, and the sequel, were the movies that made Keanu a star. Wildly funny, vastly better than Wayne's World skits/characters

5. A bit unusual perhaps, but..
I would go and see U2 at the Roskilde Festival 1982, Friday July the 2nd. It is widely believed that that particular concert was the one that put U2 on the world map, it was _that_ great - with my mom - no thanks, I was born a week earlier :D

6. Wow, I was really taking this seriously......
so, sorry if it wasn't meant to be...

My first thought would be Dallas, November 22, 1963 (or before) armed with enough information to stop the assasination.

7. For me it would probably be 1960
when all my grandparents were still living.. I wold like to have a family reunion.. aunts & uncles too..

I guess it would be Miami Beach

I would have to videotape them and ask them the questions that a kid would never even think to ask, but an adult always wishes they HAD asked..

My kids would enjoy being able to hear and see ancestors that they never knew..

stay there?? no, those were not great years..

9. I go back to August 1974.
Any time that August would do. I stay there, assuming that time isn't frozen and will move ahead from there. And I choose my whole life differently.

13. First weekend of October, 1977.
I would tell a certain young woman to FOAD, and would dump her sorry, two-timing, cheating ass.

This single act would have changed the rest of my life for the better.

14. Before the trip I would make a list of every bad decision I have made,
which is, sadly, virtually EVERY decision I have ever made, and hand it to myself at the age of about 14: "Here, kid, keep this, and whenever one of the decisions comes up, HERE IS WHAT YOU MUST DO!!!!!" Instead of what I did do....

Politically, I would go back to 1968 and try to keep Bobby Kennedy away from that damn L.A. Hotel!!!! (Or, find Sirhan Sirhan and render him 'inoperable').

16. february 2000 -- sell, sell, sell
You can't fix a screwed-up relationship or turn around a life in an hour, and you sure as hell can't change the world in that amount of time, but you could place a market order in approximately 5 minutes, even in those so-long-ago days of dial-up modems or, gack, even a live broker you had to speak to on the phone.

17. Sheer Hedonism.
I would go back in time to Paris in the late 1800's. I would visit the art salons. I'd enjoy spending time with Toulouse-Lautrec, Matisse, Braque and Picasso - and perhaps be invited to dinner at the home of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. I could make omelets!

No, I don't think I'd stay. But I wouldn't mind going back to visit now and again.

18. Go back to the Munich beer-hall putsch and shoot Hitler and the other top
Nazis present.

As a side benefit, this would deny Prescott Bu$h the chance to get rich as a Nazi investment banker; the Bu$hes would then be just another middle-class Rethug wingnut family. And we'd have been spared GHWB and GWB's presidencies.

30. Ever watch the twilight zone?
They had an episode about going back and killing hitler. It adhered to the theory of time travel that if you go back and try to change history it will always be interrupted by something. very interesting watch.

23. I would travel to NYC in 1957...

...to attend one of Alan Freed's multi-artist rock 'n' roll concerts at the Brooklyn Paramount. If I could choose the line-up, it would include Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers, Sam "The Man" Taylor, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, LaVern Baker, Ruth Brown, Clyde McPhatter, and the Del-Vikings.

I would go back and tell him that his legacy would breed countless despots, and dictator And that it would do more harm to the Proletariat than any other single idea in history. Might tell him to see a doctor about the carbuncles, and then spend the rest of the time arguing.

25. Boston-Logan Airport, Sept. 11, 2001.
"Stop those men, oh, and stop these 3 other flights also."

Prehaps things wouldn't be so grim now. Not to mention pleanty of lives saved.
then again, popping hitler in WWI doesn't sound to bad either.

28. I had a weird dream like that come to think of it
I was thinking we can prevent WWIII and save the economy.

I just forgot what airport they flew out and since I was already back in time I couldn't find out (plus it was a dream). I only had 3 hours to save everything.

In the end, I failed. The planes still crashed as I watched TV in some crummy apartment.
