It's still hard to deal with right-wing family.

Due to my surgery and circumstances beyond my control, I had to let my family back into my life or starve. I chose to eat.

What a tragedy it is that my family so strongly embraces the * administration and all its decisions. Today, my mother told me that her cousin in Canada told her that the US is evil and that my mother is evil for supporting *. Sigh. What was I supposed to say? Right now the US is a very dangerous country and * and his henchmen are dangerous. Incidents like this remind me that my mother has never done any serious soul-searching. She has never paused to think she could possibly be wrong about something.

It's so upsetting.

My mother has her good points, but she can be extremely toxic. It hurts to be exposed again.
