I get them all the time. The dog scares them, they play dead, then I pick it up by its tail and put it in the side yard. They're really nearsighted and they hiss and act all big and scary but that's about as mean as they get. I'm sure if you cornered one (why would you?) they might bite, but so would I.

There's one around my house that's bigger than Fatso Catso - Catso just waits patiently a foot or two away until the possum's done eating out of her bowl before she gets to eat.

Dracunculiasis is a disease caused by the parasitic worm Dracunculus medinensis or "Guinea worm". This worm is the largest of the tissue parasite affecting human. The adult female, which carries about 3 million embryos, can measure 600 to 800 mm in length and 2 mm in diameter.
