Advice needed on discussion forum software
I'm starting a project to develop a new political website. What can the webmasters here recommend for good forum software?

- I have a basic knowledge of HTML coding, but don't expect to get into developing arcane scripts from scratch

- I doing my production with GoLive on the Mac

- My site will be hosted on GODADDY.

- I'm looking for a forums tool that's visually customizable, and allows easy addition of both conferences and subconferences, as well as control over posting rights.

Any suggestions welcome.

1. phpBB is very popular and easy to setup and use.

Your webhost must support PHP, obviously.
