Everything else, I think would then fall naturally into place...

Course I wouldn't complain if whoever was doing these alteration decided to boost my metabolism a bit.

I'd like my upper body to be as well developed as my lower body as well.

I'm very abstract/random and I hate being linear. I also like the rush of adrenalin. This leads me to be a procrastinator.

Case in point, I'm not completely unpacked from Boston yet.

that it's my own damn fault, which spares you all from having to listen to me whining and moaning about how life is unfair, why did this happen to me, and all that tiresome stuff...

I'd fix things for you as well if I could, but I can't.

So we go on from here, and here isn't really such a bad place in comparison to what it could be, as it is for so many other people, no? I count my blessings each day.

Maybe I don't know enough about the history... fill me in sometime, if you want? You know I don't mind; everyone needs some people to whine and moan to, dude :) Even stoics like yourself

It's ok that you can't fix things for us. We'll get there, and we'll learn patience and tolerance in the meantime.

I agree with counting your blessings, and keeping your life in perspective. I think a lot lately about how lucky I am to live where I do, with the family and friends and food and level of safety that we have. I think about what I could be dealing with every day, and the physical pain and emotional anguish I could be suffering, and somehow, anything I feel like complaining about just sort of... isn't.

an inadvertent hint here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=3308962&mesg_id=3309137

Someday, aided by considerable alcohol, I'll tell you a story you've never heard before, it being well before your time, having to do with a place called An Loc, which few Americans have heard of , nor would many of them care...

You speak words of wisdom beyond your years regarding suffering and blessings...we got it good, considering the alternatives, don't we? And you get it. Mr M. should be proud of you, and I'm sure he is.

54. I wish to be a human with infallible memory from this point forward
100% retention rate.

Think of it:

I could read the Bible, and I could quote any passage, for example, 50 years from now as if I had just read it right then and there.

I could read a car manual and know how to take care of it as if I had studied it my whole life. I could do the same for computers and other electronics.

I could remember what my girlfriend wore on Tues., May 31, 2005, 20 years from now and describe them down to the very last detail, including how many buttons were on her shirt and whether her top button was done up or not.

I could remember the voting record of every last senator to have served from 2005 to, well, until the day I die, and I'll be able to tell if that person really is a friend of the people or just a fraud.

I could apply it to anything from advancing myself to helping other people. It would open so many doors.

65. at the moment, right now?
I have a long list of things I would change, but right now it would be my craving for a cigarette. It has been almost a week and a half since one, but I am getting antsy right now. :argh:

Getting rid of these cravings and even having dreams about cigarettes is what I want right now. That is my final answer :P

My brother is staying here and he smokes, making the temtation to steal one from his pack very, very great right now. :dilemma:

Be gone, evil cigarette cravings. Leave Zuni to relax and to sleep in peace, and tempt him no more.

And tell your brother to take 'em outside, and sleep with them under his pillow :)

68. thanks, Miss Lynz
he has been taking the out to the back porch. i never smoked in my apartment anyway---didn't want to stink up all my stuff. Always went out to the back deck.

Oh, he usually keeps them in his pocket anyway.

I'm ashamed to admit that I let it get to me, at times get the best of me, and dictate the course of my miserable life. I avoided many situations that I should have faced head on due to cowardice.

98. That one makes me think.
The shallow answer:
I wish my tummy was like it was before I had children. 9 and 10 pound babies and multiple c-sections do a can number on a person that can't be exercised away. I sometimes miss that "perfect"' thing.

The simple answer:
I wish I were better at math. Academically, I've always done extremely well, but math is my perpetual roadblock. It's difficult for certain parts of my brain to have it "click" or make sense yet I otherwise learn quickly and easily. :(

The complicated answer:
Often in life, I've wished to be more simple. I don't mean simple as in "stupid", but simple as in having less facets of who I am within myself. It really makes it difficult to ever find a niche. There's so many sides of ME- there's the nurturing, mommy side (which aspects spill into my work), there's this extremely femme and (dare I say) a bit oversexed side to me, there's the somewhat brainy with a dark sense of humor side to me, and there's the politically passionate, strong feminist side to me.

Far too often in life, I have found that people think that one part of me can't possibly co-exist with another part of me. Even worse, people who like some parts of me, but want me to shut off the other ones (obviously with some stuff, like in the workplace, one has to be appropriate, but I'm talking more in terms of interpersonal relationships). Rarely did it seem that people came into my life that just understood this about me without some sense of judgment somehow.

Now though, I don't think I would change that. The older I get, the more comfortable I am with myself, so it's almost like I just don't care what people think now, but when I was younger it was more difficult. Plus, I find that lately more people are coming into my life that are just smart enough to "get it" in ways that never did before. I'm not sure if this makes sense to most people, but oh well. Makes sense to a few. Makes sense to me.

I think it's good that you can look at yourself and see your different sides, and that you're growing into being comfortable with all of them, regardless of what anyone else 'expects' you to be :)

And ah... baby belly. Wish there were an easy fix for that one, dude

100. Well....
I believe I am intelligent, I have a good family and good friends, and find myself in pretty good health. So.... it would be a toss-up. I would either like to rid myself of my anxiety disorder, or rid myself of my woman belly. A waist might be nice.... I have one for about .65 cm, and then it disappears. Ahhhh... the joys of being short. :)

112. I'd be less emotional.
When I'm happy, I cry. When I'm angry, I cry. When I'm frustrated, I cry. I don't deal with things - I just cry.

I'd love to change that - think I'd feel like a stronger person.

Oh - and I'd lose 15 pounds. :)
