Alleged "newsman" Sean Hannity was declared DOA at Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital this afternoon at 6:12 pm. In an irrefutable, albeit cinematic, affirmation of Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection, Mr. Hannity expired when his head literally exploded during his nationally syndicated radio program. The long-time purveyor of "fairness and balance" spent his last hours chanting in a monotonous drone reminiscent of a Gregorian chant. It was after the 37th consecutive repetition of the mantra, "This is not a time to play the blame game, but the Governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans are clearly at fault in this disaster", that Mr. Hannity suffered his spectacularly fatal synaptic overload.
Services will be held in the gymnasium of Guido's Institute for Acupuncture and Typewriter Repair, with interment to follow at the Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island. The Reverend Fred Phelps will preside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mr. Hannity's name be made to the Rick Santorum Kennel for sexually abused puppies.
