earworm...a simple one
EVERYBODY'S TALKIN NILSSON

E
Everybody's talkin' at me
E7
I don't hear a word they're sayin'
B7 E
Only the echoes of my mind

People stoppin' starin'
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes

Chorus
A B7
I'm goin' where the sun keeps shinin'
E E7
Thru' the pourin' rain
A B7 E E7
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes
A B7
Bankin' off of the north-east wind
E E7
Sailin' on a summer breeze
A B7 E
Skippin' over the ocean like a stone

Repeat verse
Repeat chorus
B7 E
And I won't let you leave my love behind
And I won't let you leave my love behind

4. Yes, I've heard that song dozens of times
I grew up hearing it on the radio in the 70's and early 80's. It has a very mellow, flowing sound to it.

BTW, I could say "f*ck you too", but I won't.

6. They really did play it on the radio
It was also on the soundtrack of Forest Gump. Here is a link to the lyrics: Everybody's Talkin'

You always smile, but in your heart your sorrow shows
E B
Yes it shows

E
Well, I can't forget tomorrow
C#m
When I think of all my sorrow
A G#
I had you there, but then I let you go
C#m Cm7 A

E
I can't live
C#m
If livin' is without you
A
I can't give
B
I can't give any more
E
I can't live
C#m
If livin' is without you
A
I can't give
B
I can't give any more
