A Question About Frosted Hair

-- which may or may not also go by the name "blonde-tipped fade," in men.

I'm a hermit, and I don't get out any farther than the lobby of my kid's school and the co-op, much. I did notice some girls with pin-striped jeans and leg warmers, last year -- but I had to go into town, this week, and I have saw THREE women with frosted hair circa 1989.

Has anyone else noticed this? I know that three-tone hair was all the rage a while ago, inspired by some of those whore-crooners on MTV, but I'm talking about full-on, frosted, short-ish, curling-ironed hair.

Is there anyone out there, who has recently frosted his or her hair, who is willing to testify?
