Did anyone go to The Carnivale tonight? (Spoiler Alerts)
The Knoghts Templar plot line is moved forward, The battle lines are being drawn, The love triangles have solidified (somewhat) and We now know of an "Old Country" connection between Management and Brother Justin.

Is Management Scudder?

I'm not sure because of the last comment, "He knows we have the boy."

OTOH, Management is now talking to a blind guy and kicked Sampson out of the trailor.

Also. What is the significance of the "tree man?"

*sniff-sniff* Only two hours left.

1. Only two hours left this season......
It's not a mini-series. I thought it was also, but from the creator's words it appears this is just the first season.

'CARNIVALE' EXECS LEAVE THE BEST FOR LAST

November 6, 2003 -- THE final episodes of HBO's off-beat drama "Carnivale" reveal exactly who is in charge of the mysterious traveling freak show and the super-natural relationship between two of its main characters.
But the producers will also leave many questions about the lives of the show's mysterious carnies unanswered.

"By the end of the first season you're going to understand a lot more about 'management," Ronald D. Moore told SCI FI Wire. "You'll know who's running the carnival."

"Carnivale" (Sundays at 9 p.m.) follows the lives of a group of carnival workers in the 1930s. Moore says that by the end of this season, audiences will have a much better understanding about the link between Ben Hawkins (Nick Stahl) and Brother Justin (Clancy Brown).

"Even though those two characters aren't going to meet in the first season - which is non-traditional that the hero and the villain aren't going to meet year one at all - you're going to understand that they're both players in a much larger story," Moore said

3. And On the other hand...

1934. The Dust Bowl. The last great age of magic. In a time of titanic sandstorms, drought and pestilence - all signs of God's fury and harbingers of the Apocalypse - the final conflict between good and evil is about to begin. The battle will take place in the Heartland of an empire called America. And when it is over, man will forever trade away wonder for reason.

Debuting on HBO this September, CARNIVÀLE follows a traveling carnival as it wends its way across the Dust Bowl, focusing on a mysterious young fugitive with hidden talents who is taken in by the carnival, and on the charismatic, shadowy evangelist who will ultimately cross his path. The 12-episode dramatic series takes place at a time of worldwide unrest, with evil on the rise around the globe and the Great Depression wreaking economic and social havoc here at home.

5. In post 3, I clipped from interviews prior to the first show
and it says 12 episode series.

Tends to make one think that it's a 12 episode series.

6. Yeah, that's why we've been arguing about it

One bad press release and everyone thinks you're a mini and not a maxi-series!

7. LOL... I've been wasting tiome googling this and can't come up with
anything definitive either way.

I'm thinking that they may still be in the process of deciding if they want it for another 12-13 episodes. I'm pretty sure that this ain't a cheap piece to produce.

I really hope they don't have to end it like they did with Farscape on the SciFi Channel.

Bit of trivia: Dora Mae is Meatloaf's daughter.

It looks like they've got the ok for a 4 hour mini to finish the series up. It's somewhere here in the Lounge.

Here it is:

Well, I'd say that if the creator of Carnivale is saying the hero and villain won't meet until season two, well....

I think the only thing that would stop a season two is bad ratings, and I've heard that they've actually been surprised by how high the ratings have been at HBO.

I missed getting a few Carnivale eps, so I actually haven't seen any except bits of the first one.

10. No shit? That's great. Yee-Haw!
Aaron & Chrichton were turned into blue dust in the last episode. They're gonna need Zan back to put them back together.

8. I love Carnivale!
and I lust madly for Clancy Brown.
