I too just lost my firefox bookmarks, all but ones I saved to toolbar...

And I have bookmark backup extension, only i have no idea where it saved them. Grrrrr.

1. Just do a Windows Explorer text search

Just look for anything you can remember.

2. No help.... They are gone Aghhhh. U never think it will happen to you.

For now on i mail myself every link.

3. That happened to me the other day

It shut down and asked me to create a profile. I did and all my bookmarks were gone. It turns out my old profile was running in the background. I don't remember all the steps but first go to task manager and under processes shut down all firefox. Then go to online help and start reading on profiles.
