A lip-syncing scandal didn't sink Ashlee Simpson, whose sophomore effort, I Am Me, sold 220,000 copies to land at No. 1 in Billboard. It fell 178,000 copies short of her 2004 disc but eclipsed five other debuts in the top 10, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
