Haven't celebrated it for ages but I live next door to the local racecourse which holds a fireworks night every year. (As a kid I even got to get my photo taken there with David Prowse dressed in full Darth Vader gear!) Bizzarely, they opted to hold this years last week, so all's quiet round here now.

November the 5th has come and gone,
But thoughts of it still linger.
I held a banger in my hand,
Has anyone seen my finger?

4. Oh dear...

The rest of the family's out and I have the music loud enough so i can't hear this nonsense. The cats are feaked out, though, by what sound like WW3 going on out there.

5. Aw! Don't rain on my parade!

I've been waiting for months to post that! (After making fun of TJ for being British, I've been dieing to do something celebratory to make up for it.)

And it's only one night... you'll survive...

6. Have just been out to the second fireworks display in 2 days...

... with my kids. Have been "oooooing" and "aaaaaahing" like a lunatic.

Am just a HUGE kid at heart... busy writing my name in "sparkler"... and cuddling the kids as sky lights up with all shades and hues of the rainbow :)
