Anyone ever play Sudoku??

It's quite fun for logical, numbers-oriented people like myself.

1. They just started it in our local newspaper

2. The object of the game:

There is a board with 81 squares divided into 9 regions of 9. Each "region" has four different digits already filled into four squares in the region. The object of the game is to fill in the entire board with each row of 9, column of 9 AND "region" of 9 containing only one of each digit from 1 to 9. Which means no number can be repeated in any instance. To start off, each row, region and column already filled in will NOT have repeated digits. It's a very time and thought-consuming game.

4. Oh, gawd.

My parents recently got into these, and now they can't put the damn things down. I have vowed never to even look at one of those grids, for the sake of my own sanity.

I tried and gave up. I'd rather do a NYT Sunday crossword if I want to lose my temper over a puzzle. :)
