Our hot water heater burst nearly two weeks ago, flooded the whole place while we were asleep. The hot water heater was replaced within a couple of hours of our call. It was more than a week before our landlord got someone over to pull up the soaking - and stinking - wet carpet pad. Only to tell them to put the soaking - and stinking - wet carpet back down over the new pad. And then it was six MORE days before they had someone come to steam clean and deoderize the affected rooms. Too late. Far too late.

Someone tell me if I am smelly tonight. All of our clothes are in my car, in hopes of keeping the permanent stench out of them. I can't seem to escape the aftermath of this home maintenence disaster!!!
