Ok, so maybe I need more than a 1GB MP3 Player
I now have 800 songs uploaded on my computer. But if I did get only 1gig I can assure you that probably about 250-300 of those songs could be skipped for uploading

4. You need to get "Working for the Weekend" on there, too
and don't forget "Live Wire" by Motley Crue, too.

I'm still saying you should get the 2gig iPod Nano. $200 new. Or spend another $50 and get the 4gig. Very easy to use, very portable, and skip-free to boot.

:hi:

6. I'm still thinking of the 1gig Sony
it holds 685 songs and I can tell you I've been uploading everything on my computer. I know some of this stuff I'll never really listen to that much again.

I have about 100 classical music songs so I'm thinking of keeping my Mini-Disc player just for classical music.

2. Well, for comparison's sake
My iPod has 1456 songs on it for 5.36 GB. So you probably won't need all that much more than 2 gigs.

7. 1GB is for sissies!
:P

I'm not even sure how many mp3s I have in total, because even if I filled up both computer's HDs it would only be a fraction of the collection. SO is getting me the new 30GB iPod and that's not nearly big enough to hold it all...but enough to hold all the stuff I want to have on hand at any given time.
