Would you look at this God damned, lazy assed, sprawled out, frikkin huge
cat of mine.

What a buffalo.

I wish there was something in the picture to provide scale. He's taking up more than half the couch there. Two and a half feet long from nose to tail, maybe 20 pounds. Not fat. Just muscle.

1. Abbott is built the same exact way
He's HUGH!!!1111!!!!!

But the Vet says Abbott is healthy as can be and it's all muscle (although how it's muscle is beyond me - the damn cat sleeps all day & night).

Abbott is a whopping 16lbs!

2. Shit! Your cat gives Skittles' cat a serious run for the DU Fat Cat title
Indeed, I think yours might be even fatter than Skittles' cat.

He's cute. Is he a Maine Coon or just a really fat cat?

Seriously (seriesly?). Not fat. Just big. All muscle. I had another male cat like this. Nothing special about the breed. He's just a goddam wall.

9. Oh, definitely
He's a lotta cat.

The fact that he is strong, along with being big, makes him a formidable roommate at times. He has actually knocked me on my ass with flying leg-tackles on several occasions.

10. Does he let you handle him or does he prefer to be left alone?
I would not pet a cat that big unless I had his permission. He's got a huge head...with lots of teeth, I suspect. :scared:

Is he possessive of you, when other people are around?

Woe be unto any woman or house burglar who gets in his way. :D

13. He's funny
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 10:55 AM by WilliamPitt
If I crawl into bed, he dives in and snuggles and purrs like crazy. On a cold night, having that much cat is great. But ten minutes later he gets up, wanders off...and then starts attacking my feet.

Yes, he has a huge head. It's actually kind of appalling. I will post a pic of his head below this post.

He will be petted when he wants petting. He will thump into my lap like a bag of doorknobs when he wants affection. And then he will, in all likelihood, try to murder me.

He's like a for-real predator. It keeps me on my toes.

17. Sounds kinda like my weimaraner puppy.
She's not the kind of dog that begs for affection. She dispenses it when she feels like it, and not before. Her disposition is more cat than dog.

I've been sleeping on my big sectional couch the past couple of nights, She sleeps on the corner of the couch, up above my head, and she attacks my ponytail in the middle of the night. I wake up to her trying to remove the ponytail holder with her teeth and claws, furiously shaking and clawing my head. She is usually successful at her endeavor. :)

She's probably at 30lbs now, and she's only ten weeks old. She's gonna be a big 'un.

24. I can't say anything about your cobwebs. I have about ten...
dead lovebugs on top of my AC. You do know what a love bug is, right? They swarm in Mississippi in late August through early October and spoil many a car's paintjob. So called, because when you see them, they are usually joined in conjugal bliss, end to end.

Lovebugs:

But, did I say JESUS that is a huge cat. Does he always lay around or do you have any images of him on his feet? :D

Another 20-pounds-of-muscle behemoth. Solid black (even his GUMS are black). Long hair. Named Brutus, for the badass he appears to be.

He is, however, a complete pacifist. That's a nice way of saying he's afraid of the entire world, even though he's big enough to kick anything's ass. And he is dumb. Not just dumb by cat standards, but oh-my-god-how-has-this-creature-survived dumb. He gets "lost" when his humans move out of eye-line, and wails piteously, in a Charleton Heston "I am the Omega kitty" kind of way.

Benefits of having him around are legion, however. He eats spiders (bugs are the one thing he doesn't fear), loves tummy rubs, and is on standby for copious petting at any and every moment of the day.

He's like your cat's idiot cousin, like Stimpy to Ren.

75. My dog likes to chase small furry animals...
including smaller dogs, cats, and rodents. She's never caught one so I don't know what she'd do if she did.

77. OK, I have the Cat Who Dwarfed the Ruler...

Lewis, with a ruler for scale

a more formal pose

Like Boomer, he spends a lot of time with his feet in the air.

His brother CatZilla is also known as the Belly Ho because he LOVES having his belly rubbed. Lewis just likes to be petted; twenty four/seven if you can manage it.

79. That cat could whip Nick-Nick's scrawney ass! Pussy-whipped, again!
He already got his gray hairs from his panther encounter two years ago this week. That was a 100-pound black cat. His current state-of-mind is extreme pussy-whipped! He has been there, and done that.

88. Nick-Nick is 100% Dr. DemoTex
His real name is Canicula de Bastille (the Latin deminutive for Sirius, the Greek for the dog star, and the fact I adopted him on 7/14/2003 .. Bastille Day). Thus "Nick." Dr. D.took it a step further, with Nick-Nick! I love it now, as does Nick, the Trick (who is quick .. and slick).
