Terry Bradshaw to buy New Orleans Saints??
The former Pittsburgh QB and Super Bowl MVP and current Fox Sports Analyst says he wants to get together some investors to buy the Saints AND KEEP THEM IN NEW ORLEANS. He says the city should not lose its football team because of a Hurricane. Who the hell knows what the current owner will do. You Go Terry!

I'll drink to that. How many city's have the French Quarter within walking distance of their football stadium? Make it happen Ragin Cajun.

15. More than 50% of the men I've dated
have had less than 50% of their hair. I never really thought about that until now. I guess I'm a chick that digs bald men but didn't know (acknowledge) it. Although it does explain my strange fascination with Larry David.

10. The current owner is a prick
Whining about how hard it is because of the hurricane and he may need to move the team elsewhere. He has the public relations acumen of pat robertson.

11. That would be San Antonio businessman Tom Benson
And I'm sure you know San Antonio has been itching for an NFL team since waaaay back in the day.

This San Antonian would like to see them stay in NOLA.

It makes me sick to see people here drooling all over the Saints. Very embarrasing.

Katrina would be the excuse, not the cause. Still bad form. Good luck Terry!

12. I'd accept one trade off
if the NFL insists on moving the team (and they haven't headed in that direction) but if the Saints must leave, the Super Bowl should be held in New Orleans every year. That would require a rules change but that could happen.

14. Kind of a fixer-upper, of course, but why not?
I'm sure you would get a great deal on the Saints right now. Maybe he can do something about their idiotic uniforms.

18. There is no downside to owning a NFL franchise
and IMHO their uniforms are the best in the league

19. Not that uniforms are the most important thing.
I would put most NFL uniforms above New Orleans. All they really have going for them is the colors, which should be great, but for some reason it's never worked for me.

I'd be happy for anything that gets Terry Bradshaw off Fox NFL Sunday, though. :D

21. NOLA
was the smallest city before the hurricane with an NFL team. My family lives there, as I used to, and has season tickets to the Saints games from way back when.

That being said, I find it hard to believe that NOLA can provide a reasonable revenue base for an NFL team. I wish and hope it can, but am just not sure. The much maligned Benson is from NOLA, built his business empire in NOLA (and has expanded much of it to San Antonio), and kept the Saints in NOLA much longer than most other owners would.

I don't like it, but I don't see how a city of 1/2 of NOLA's size can support the team. It could easily support Super Bowls and the like, but it just can't sell enough tickets.
