Must. Have. Heroin.
Oh my f*cking god, I'm having a gout attack. Sweet jesus I need some serious opiate in the morphine or better class. Codeine just barely takes the edge off. The gout is in the small joints on the outside of my left foot, which is a ball 'o pain at the end of my leg. I need to stay awake for another two hours to take another round of anti-inflammatory meds before I go to sleep, and I have too many commitments tomorrow and Thursday to stay home, so I'll be hobbling around on crutches-- and I can't teach on pain-killers so I get to enjoy the full experience of a foot full of broken glass. All. Day. Long.

...and I already have the biggest bottle of hydrocodone tablets I've EVER been given, but right now all I want to do is shut down all my pain receptors and snuggle up to sister morphine. I'll take more hydrocodone in an hour or so-- part of the problem is that I need to stay awake to take another Indocin round tonight.
