Hey DU! Any good plans for the weekend?
I haven't got anything too special coming up. Maybe going out with some friends tonight, but nothing planned just yet. Which is fine, of course, with Thanksgiving coming up next week, I'll have plenty to keep me busy. How about y'all? Got anything fun planned?

Oh yeah, you guys rule. :-)

1. "Goblet Of Fire" Saturday morning, otherwise NOTHING!
Well, that's not technically true. I've got lots of things I'm going to catch up on, but no pressing, planned engagements.

2. My son has his first drill meet tomorrow
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 10:36 AM by MissMillie
He's going to command armed regulation and armed color guard.

Here they are--the American Legion (yeah, I know :puke:) Drill Team and Color Guard National Champions from Oxford High School!

4. I remember playing football against Oxford High.
The sons of bitches put a pumpkin on our school's doorstep with a message saying something along the lines of how they were going to kick our asses.

After we routed them on their own field, we left the smashed pumpkin for them at midfield. :D

7. lol
Not surprised

The athletic teams at Oxford have no class.

The ROTC unit, however, shines. Probably the best thing to ever happen to the school (and generally, I'm not thrilled w/ military stuff in public schools).

6. It makes you awesome is what it makes you!
This is the best weekend of the year for college football indeed! One of the reasons I don't care that I haven't much for plans so far!

Are you cheering for Auburn or Bama in the Iron Bowl? I've always pulled for the Tigers myself. :-)

How are you doing sweetheart? :hi:

16. Well, I'm not an Auburn fan or anything
But I've never liked Bama, so seeing them lose is fun. Plus, I really think it's the best rivalry in college football, so you've gotta pick a side. :-) I'm sorry if that makes you hate me now!!

Since my school didn't have college football, I've always followed Florida and Penn State. I love Joe Paterno, even if he is a Republican. Just an extremely classy guy. And I almost went to UF.

:loveya: X a brazillion too!! :-)

8. Going to see "Threepenny Opera" tonight.
That was my anniversary gift from my hubby.
:loveya:

Then, it's frantic school work. If I get "caught up" I might try to catch the new Harry Potter movie.

*sigh*

18. too many plans!
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 10:58 AM by cfield
Tonight we're going to the KSU basket ball game. Work tomorrow until noon, then KSU's last game under Snyder  and after the game getting together with friends to celebrate the husband's birthday. I think they're bringing some "special" brownies. Wish me luck, I've never done anything so crazy. Sunday is football and hangover-recovery day, as usual. No work on Monday which is his actual birthday so hopefully we can spend the whole day...celebrating (hee hee).

Edited to add that there will be a Harry Potter viewing on Monday or Tuesday!

22. I'm hoping it all goes well
I'm sure I'll cry! So many want to storm the field and rip out the goal posts. Knowing Snyder, he wouldn't appreciate that; there are lots of students trying to convince people to do a more civil goodbye. I'm sure it will be crazy no matter what. All I can know for sure is that I'll be in as much purple as I possibly can, and cheering us to a final Snyder Victory and will do what I can to honor the coach when it's all over.

Undoubtedly, they'll want to sit off by themselves, away from the "uncool" adults. :eyes:

32. It works for our family
Some members are going to Arkansas to visit my Dad. Others work. We are used to working around firefighter schedules. Holidays don't always come on the day the calendar assigns.

30. I am going to enjoy the cool weather in S FL
and clean the garage and do some yardwork. It is usually too hot for me to attempt those things. It isn't fun, but it does feel good when it is done.
