1. probably about 10
I'll be spending the day with some aunts, uncles, cousins and my dad. But it is noting out of the ordinary because we all have dinner together every Saturday night...so it's a pretty casual affair, which is a good thing because I'm wearing my "eatin' pants" today!

2. Jus' lil' ol' me!

And I wants it that way!

Tomorrow, I go spend time with family and visit.

Today, it's rest and relaxation - a t-bone for lunch, making some french onion soup, will have that and some squash and some other stuff for supper, making cookies... might make some truffles... watch some movies... fire up the fireplace, wait for the sun to go down (goddamn thing is shining like a fucking beacon today, so I have all the windows shuttered up, and I hate this - I love having the windows unblocked so I can see outside and enjoy it, but not when the goddamn sun is blaring itself in with all unwelcome), and then enjoy myself with an Aviation and then maybe a Stinger or two, and do some reading and fall asleep whenever I feel like it.

Ah, tis a good day.

5. To many, all I wanted was a quiet day to myself and the animals that
own me.

Last night one by one certain people started to invite themselves over, I feel like Charlie Brown.

Little do they know that they are helping me put up the lights in the afternoon.

12. Just 2
I cooked and hubby helped. It was too much but once or twice a year is fun. All of our family live in other states so it's just us. Happy Thanksgiving AR, and who is cooking at your house?

My parents in law are doing the turkey and dressing, since it will be at their house, and the rest is divided between other relatives. I'm doing butter popovers and sage wheat rolls.

16. None
My spouse and I ate at a restaurant as we wanted to just relax and not have too much to do. I gave my kitties some Fancy Feast Turkey dinner, however. They are now frolicking near the sunny bay window!

Happy Thanksgiving all...

28. You had a table in the restaurant, right?
We ate out, too, as usual. I brought home some turkey for the kitties, but they were totally unimpressed and didn't eat it.

32. Not any reservations though
This restaurant wouldn't take them...

The wait person was a little pushy...but it was OK. No muss otherwise. Good pumpkin pie.

The kitties got real kitty food by Fancy Feast--i don't feed them human food very often..likewise, I seldom give them too rich of food like Fancy Feast, but once in a while, it's OK...we generally give them Hill's R/D food (prescription diet) so that they get good dry food and don't gain too much weight.

The oldest kitty has been on Hill's R/D for nearly 9 years and doing great on it.

But if she could, she'd be having a chickenhawk for T-giving!!

Edited on Thu Nov-24-05 04:46 PM by AccessGranted
Not bragging but as my mother used to say, I really put my foot in it". That was a damn good meal if I do say so myself.

It was just me, my fiance and my three sons who are 22, 20 and 13. Everybody is stuffed. Fiance is sleep and kids are playing video games.

I'm here with you guys relaxing for a minute and having a nice glass of white zinfandel.

Life is beautiful.

22. Lunch buffet for 1 at the Western Sizzlin' (only place open locally).....
It was NOT festive!. My guys away taking care of his mom, my brother and sis-in-law are in Mexico, my favorite neighbors are in Texas and I'm stuck here dog-sitting three mutts and getting food ready for a party Saturday night.

It was not a memorable Thanksgiving.

26. I ate at the kiddie table.
There was a big table and a smaller one for overflow.
No kiddies, except for 3 teens.
They picked seats at the big table, so Miz t. and I and a single lady sat at the kiddie's table.
It was OK.
We had grown up drinks.

h and I cooked. We have it down to a science with a timeline for each dish and everything.

Turkey was good and we tried some new recipes. There were lots of deserts.

Now we have to figure out where to put the giant turkey carcass.

31. 15 people and I'm exhausted, but content. We've been up since 6am
It's 10:30 now and everyone is finally gone. It went quite well, all things considered, but I have a raging headache from drinking too much wine and am really really tired.

Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow....

:hi:
