4. Obesity has become so much more choice rather than exception

Yes, the food marketers are to blame, and so is the convenience/comfort food that has replaced cooked food, but obesity is controllable. Years ago I had pity for the grossly overweight. Now they are the rule instead of the exception. Kids less than 10 weighing over 100lbs. People so large that they break chairs when they sit down and then sue becaue the chair wasn't strong enough to hold them. Medical expenses and diabetes way before it's time.

Tonight is the season's finale of The Biggest Loser. We make a TV show out of people losing weight. Lots of weight. But lifestyle and self-control would prevent most of our obesity. Of that I am convinced.
